Jennifer Turner Wins Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Special Runoff Election for District 5

DURANT, Okla. – The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Election Board announced official results of the 2025 District 5 Runoff Election held Saturday, August 9.

All election results have been duly certified by the Election Board and will be communicated to the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Jennifer Turner and Earl Smith were on the ballot as the two candidates who received the most votes during the Special Election held on July 12.

Per the results of the runoff election, Jennifer Turner was elected to the Tribal Council with 56% of the vote and will begin her term on August 13, 2025.
