Where does the time go? It seems like a few minutes ago we were talking about plans for 2025 and here it is near the end of the year. It is the time of year to thank the Lord for all the blessings he has given to our people. Some of those blessings are:

2025 Spotlight on the Choctaw Nation

Our Choctaw education program listed several accomplishments this year. Our childcare program, that consists of nine facilities, has more than 570 students enrolled. We have served more than 8,000 people in our higher education program with more than $13,500,000 grants awarded to students.

Choctaw Healthcare posted more than 1,316, 000 total health encounters this year and more 55,300 behavioral health encounters. We had more than 1.5 million prescriptions filled this year.

Our Choctaw Housing Program had another successful year of getting our tribal members housed and into affordable rentals. We built more than 100 LEAP homes; more than 60 independent elder homes; and more than 65 affordable rental homes. The nation also awarded 117 home loans; performed more than 2,000 home repairs and built more than 500 storm shelters for tribal members.

The Choctaw Nation Lighthorse and Judicial branches had another great year as well. We have more than 100 Lighthorse Officers and more than 570 security officers for the nation. We have eight new attorneys, and in 2025, processed more than 4,400 cases and served more than 160 people at the Ahni Center.

Our Choctaw Nation support staff continues to grow and serve our tribal members. There are currently more than 13,400 CNO employees who work tirelessly to support our programs and provide services that help meet the needs of the Choctaw Nation and its tribal members and guests.

The Choctaw Nation started the U.S. Treasury’s State Small Business Credit Initiative small business loan help program that helps bring new, valued businesses to the Choctaw Nation. We currently have more than 2,100 small business clients. We also have:

  • Start-Ups – 50
  • Expansions – 12
  • Chahtaprenuers – 116

The Choctaw Nation language program continues to improve each year with services to more than 22,970 people wanting to learn more about our Choctaw heritage and culture. We continue to expand our efforts to preserve the Choctaw Language including:

  • Classes – 1,554 Classes offered; 220 Live/Online Classes
    2,517 self-paced online classes; 1,373 In-Person Classes
  • Apprentices – 25

I have touched on just a small number of the successes of the tribe this year. There are other areas where the Choctaw Nation’s reach has stretched far from the reservation as well. We were featured in The Landman Paramount+ TV series as well as promoting the Choctaw Nation through various events throughout North Texas and Southeastern Oklahoma. The sky is the limit for where the Choctaw Nation can go in the coming years. Through the guidance of our tribal council and executive leadership and with your help and the help of our valued associates and partners – we will continue to reach our goals and dreams.

Yakoke and God Bless!
