Medical Laboratory

Choctaw Nation laboratories are fully accredited by a National Healthcare accrediting organization. This accreditation is given only to labs that demonstrate continuous accuracy in patient testing and pass rigorous on-site surveys. Laboratories located at the Atoka, Broken Bow, Durant, Hugo, Idabel, McAlester, Poteau and Stigler clinics provide most routine patient testing. Tests not performed in-house are sent to a reference laboratory. The laboratory at the Choctaw Nation Health Care Center in Talihina provides transfusion services and bacteriology services in addition to routine patient testing.
