- Must reside within Choctaw Nation service area
- Hold a CDIB from a federally recognized tribe
- A victim of crime
- Willing to participate in Life Group Sessions, home visits and follow up calls to be completed with an advocate

Request for Assistance
Choctaw Nation VSSA Essential Life Skills program staff will complete the following steps at the time of intake with the victim:
- Request documentation to begin eligibility
- Release of information/confidentiality explained and reviewed; release signed for Choctaw Victim Services, Choctaw Housing Authority, Choctaw Career Development, Choctaw Community Based Social Workers and other offices (if applicable)
- Actual intake form and general assessment completed; staff will facilitate a general assessment with the victim to establish what referrals need to be made in order to best serve the individual based on their victimization and unique needs
Assistance
The type of assistance provided will be determined based on the individual victim’s needs and type of victimization(s). The following services are available:
- Parenting education
- Financial literacy
- Resume building and interviewing techniques
- Chromebooks to assist with pursuit to re-enter workforce or pursue higher education
- Support groups/life group sessions
- Travel vouchers (for fuel)
- Vouchers for haircuts
- Walmart gift cards (for school clothes and interview outfits)
- School supplies
