Landowners and lessees can collaborate to create a survey plan and establish management goals and objectives.

Eligibility

  • Must be a CNO tribal member.
  • Must own or lease over 640 acres within the CNO reservation.
  • Yearly enrollment fee of $150 for 640-5,000 acres or $350 for over 5,000 acres.
  • Must complete the application.

Landowners and lessees collaborate with a Choctaw Nation Department of Wildlife Conservation (CNDWC) biologist to create a survey plan and establish management goals and objectives, including habitat and harvest recommendations. The goal is to enhance deer habitats and improve population dynamics. Biologists will train participants to collect data and provide the necessary tools and standardized data sheets. Participants must comply with the program’s requirements for future enrollment eligibility.
