Camp Chahta Prepares Choctaw Freshmen for College
Find Your People. Find Your Path. Published April 15, 2026Starting college is a big step, but Choctaw students don’t have to take it alone. Camp Chahta invites incoming Choctaw freshmen attending Carl Albert State College, Eastern Oklahoma State College or Southeastern Oklahoma State University to connect with other Choctaw students and begin their college journey with confidence.
Before classes even begin, students will meet fellow Choctaw peers, connect with mentors, and form friendships that can last throughout their college experience. Through guided campus exploration, participants will become familiar with the spaces and resources designed to support their success, helping ease the transition into college life.
