DURANT, Okla. — The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma (CNO) has received the 2026 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA) for a second consecutive year. This award recognizes organizations worldwide for outstanding employee engagement and for creating environments where employees feel valued, heard, and empowered to excel.

Gallup found that CNO continues to set the standard for a high-performance workplace culture. Their research consistently shows that organizations that prioritize both people and performance are better positioned for long-term success.

“Receiving the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award for the second year in a row is truly a testament to Choctaw Nation’s strategic focus on empowering people, which includes our associates,” said Dara McCoy, Executive Director of Learning and Organizational Development.

CNO has also recently been recognized on Forbes’ list of America’s Best Large Employers for 2026 earning the No. 60 overall ranking nationwide- the highest ranked organization in Oklahoma. Forbes determined these rankings based on employee feedback and workplace culture.

“Yakoke to our incredible group of associates and leaders who make the Choctaw Nation a great place to work,” said Chief Gary Batton. “Being named the top employer in Oklahoma is a great honor, and it showcases our tribe’s efforts to offer support, recognize and commit to our associates, community and tribal members. I am pleased with the ongoing work we are doing to promote the Choctaw experience and in serving tribal and community members.”
