
Choctaw Cultural Center Plans Eggstravaganza for All
Published February 26, 2026DURANT, Okla. – The Choctaw Cultural Center‘s annual Eggstravaganza is lining up a full schedule of seasonal activities for the whole family on March 21. Two children’s egg hunts will highlight the day. The Easter Bunny is expected to hide thousands of candy-filled eggs, as well as some filled with special prizes, such as items from the Hvshi Gift Store and certificates for the store and the Champuli Café.
The public is invited to the day of fun from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The Easter Bunny will be available for photos before the hunts begin outdoors at the Living Village and Dance Grounds. In case of inclement weather, they will be moved indoors.
Children will be placed into two age groups for the hunts – toddler to age 6 for the 11 a.m. hunt, and age 7 and older for the 1:30 p.m. hunt. Children need to bring their own Easter baskets.
A 360-degree photo booth will provide a unique experience for memories of the event. Printed photos will be available on site.
Visitors can participate in the Tvpushik Toss (Egg Basket Toss) and among arts & crafts activities, Egg Painting and a Premium Basketmaking Workshop. In addition, the Hvshi Gift Store and Champuli Café will be open.
Regular cultural center prices will apply to participate, including complimentary admission for Choctaw tribal members and cultural center members. The Choctaw Cultural Center is located at 1919 Hina Hanta Way, Durant. Parking is free, and a new complimentary pick-up service is provided for those with mobility issues.
