The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma prides itself on being an “Employer of Choice” and one of the best places to work in, not just Oklahoma, but the entire world. We work hard to help our Associates reach their full potential through training, access to education and a welcoming, nurturing environment.

We want our Associates to feel needed and fulfilled in their work here on the reservation. We are always looking for just the right candidate to support the Choctaw Nation and its operations, businesses and our entire Nation’s focus on meeting the needs of our tribal members and guests. We try to recruit the best and brightest candidates for our tribe, so my question to you is – Are you that person to take the Choctaw Nation to the next level?

We want good people on our team who share our vision of ‘Living out the Chahta Spirit of faith, family, and culture’ as we work together to provide opportunities for growth and prosperity.  Our culture is changing people’s lives in a positive way, and we do this through teamwork and collaboration. We value everyone’s thoughts and ideas. As I meet new Associates (how we refer to our employees), I am always impressed by their new ideas, energy and passion. We welcome their fresh point of view and innovative approach as they help us carry out our mission in a great way.

If you value the Choctaw culture, our history and heritage and want to be a part of an inclusive tribe where we impact lives each day then I would encourage you to attend the Tribal Member Resource Fair from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 10 at the Durant Choctaw Community Center. You do not need to bring anything with you, but if you would like to bring your resume and cover letter it is encouraged.

What is a tribal member resource fair? I’m glad you asked! The day begins with a meeting with one of our recruitment team members to identify your career needs, including:

  • Rehire Eligibility
  • Job for the Day
  • 477 Program
  • Resume Writing
  • Tribal Support
  • Certification, Training, or Education
  • Interview Training/Mock Interviews
  • YES Program
  • High School Services

We will also have departments represented at the fair for you to meet in person at this excellent event. If you believe that you are qualified for more than one position with the tribe, I encourage you to visit all the departments that pique your interest. We will have representatives from many departments with the Choctaw Nation so visit them all! You never know what may draw you in, so check out the position that is the best fit for you. After all, there is something for you here.

Preference is given to tribal member candidates for our roles, but tribal membership is not a requirement for employment at the Choctaw Nation. If you’re interested in working for the Choctaw Nation, we’re interested in hearing from you, and our resource fair is a great opportunity for us to meet and say “Halito” to you and answer your questions about the many opportunities available at the Choctaw Nation. For more information on the resource fair, visit careers.choctawnation.com for more information.

The good feeling of helping others is what drives me as a Choctaw Nation employee and as the Chief. If you’re interested in helping our members and guests, we’re interested in hearing from you, and I would encourage you to attend the Tribal Member Resource Fair and see what you can do for the Choctaw Nation.

Yakoke and God Bless!
