Head Start and Cybersecurity Awareness Month

Halito,
The fall season has begun along with a new fiscal year. This month is also Head Start and Cybersecurity awareness month, two programs that the Choctaw Nation is involved with.
Head Start programs promote school readiness for children up to five years old by teaching them at their own pace. Our philosophy is to “see a child as they are meant to be.”
We serve 310 children in 13 centers, operating within our Nation by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families.
Another program that the Nation supports is cybersecurity.
Established in April 2019, the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Cybersecurity Program enhances and protects yours and the Nation’s data. Because maintaining the security of cyberspace is a shared responsibility in which each of us plays a critical role.
The Choctaw Nation is concerned about all facets of our tribal members’ lives. Our children and our cybersecurity are important, and we’re focused on providing the most beneficial programs and services to our tribal members.
Yakoke and God bless!
