Alice Mae Hynson was born 6-05-1880. She was the daughter of Minnie Judith (Turnbull) Hynson and Judge Noland Hynson. Alice was an original enrollee. She married DeArthur C. Wilson. They had three daughters; Fannie Florence, Birdie and Susie Wilson, all three being original enrollees.

DeArthur was a secret service operative in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and an under-sheriff of Grady County for several years. He and Alice Mae also farmed and raised stock. They helped organize the school and the Free Will Baptist Church in the Hawkins Community. DeArthur was a charter member of the Masonic Lodge in Alex, Oklahoma and Alice was a charter member of the Eastern Star at Alex, Oklahoma. Alice Mae also taught several different places.

Alice Mae had ten grandchildren; Alice Mae (White) Lents; Mollie Sue (Drennan) Williamson; Carl Wilson Smithen; Cosia Halgean (Smithen) Reggs; Willie Gloria (Smithen) married name unknown; Hyahwahnnah Okema (Cofer) Cecil; F. E. James, Jr.,; Noland Eugene James; Vinita Fay (James) Bennett and Mary Alice (James) Smith. At the time of her death, she had 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren to go with those 10 grandchildren.

She died 05-29-1962 in the Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha, Oklahoma and is buried in the Laflin Cemetery, east of Alex, Oklahoma. She attended the Tuskhoma Boarding School for the Indian girls. Peter Hudson was the Superintendent.

Minnie Judith (Turnbull) Hynson, my great grandmother was the daughter of John P. and Judith Turnbull. Minnie Judith married Judge Noland Hynson. They had two children; Perry L. and Alice Mae Hynson. Minnie died in February 1898.
