All Choctaw Nation clinics offer Family Medicine as a core service. Family physicians deliver a range of acute, chronic and preventive medical care services. In addition to diagnosing and treating illness, they also provide preventive care, including routine checkups, health-risk assessments, and immunizations. Many of our Choctaw Nation Family Practice clinics participate in what is called the “Improving Patient Care” initiative or IPC. The aim of the IPC initiative is to improve patient health through an efficient team approach; by providing access, providing comprehensive care, and involving patients in their care through education and empowerment.
