Dispatch routes all calls to the appropriate departments and is instrumental in supporting Public Safety’s goal of safeguarding the lives and property of citizens and non-citizens who make the reservation their home. The CNO dispatch team is divided into Lighthorse and Security Dispatch.

  • For non-emergencies related to public safety, call 580-920-7000.

When to Contact Non-Emergency Dispatch

Instances where you should contact the non-emergency include, but are not limited to:

  • Reporting a crime that did not just occur, and the suspects are not in the immediate area.
  • Reporting a serious crime with suspect(s), but with a lengthy delay (example: a crime that occurred last night)
  • Reporting a crime with no suspect (example: public property damage)
  • A suspicious circumstance that may indicate an ongoing criminal activity, but you are not sure
  • Non-emergency in progress (example: noise complaint)
  • Traffic accidents which do not involve injuries
  • On-going crime issues or crimes that are not in-progress
  • Requests for information

When to Contact the Emergency Line

Instances where you should contact the emergency line 911:

  • serious medical problem (chest pain, seizure, bleeding),
  • any type of fire (business, car, building)
  • any life-threatening situation (fights, person with weapons, etc.)
  • to report crimes in progress
