Fluency Builder is Rosetta Stone’s program, providing challenging and unique content to learners that are looking to reach the next level in their language of study.
Through a partnership with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, Fluency Builder includes language learning content for anyone interested in learning the Choctaw language.

There is no download required to get started. The Rosetta Stone: Fluency Builder app is available through a web browser, or as a mobile app on supported devices. You can choose the option that works best for you.

In most instances, you should expect an email with instructions on how to access Rosetta Stone in less than 30 minutes. Although, it may take longer. If you have not received your email with access within 24 hours of submission, please reach out to the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Language team for more information.

You can sign in using your Rosetta Stone credentials on supported devices, including web browsers, phones, and tablets.
Rosetta Stone: Fluency Builder only supports a single language license per email address at a time. If you are currently using your email address for Chickasaw or another language through Fluency Builder and want to keep access to that language, we recommend creating your Choctaw Rosetta Stone account with a different email address.
Using a separate email address allows you to maintain access to your existing language while also accessing the Choctaw language curriculum.
There is currently no set expiration date for approved Rosetta Stone licenses. However, the Choctaw Nation Language Department may periodically review accounts for extended periods of inactivity and reassign unused licenses to make them available for new learners. Regular use of the platform will help ensure your license remains active.
If you no longer have access to the Choctaw Language content in Rosetta Stone, please contact the Choctaw Nation Language Department. The Language Department periodically reviews inactive accounts and may reassign unused licenses to new learners. If your access has been removed, the team can review your account and assist with restoring access when possible.
Yes. You will need an internet connection to download the Rosetta Stone app and lesson content. Once lessons have been downloaded, you can complete them without an internet connection. You may need to reconnect periodically to sync your progress and access new content.
No. Typing special Choctaw characters requires a keyboard that supports the Choctaw language. Depending on your device, you may need to enable the Choctaw keyboard or install an additional keyboard before you can enter certain Choctaw characters during activities and assessments.
If you are using an iPhone or iPad, the Choctaw keyboard is available through the native iOS keyboard settings. If you are using an Android device, we recommend installing Gboard (Google Keyboard) to access the Choctaw keyboard.
Not all lessons require typing Choctaw characters. However, some activities may ask you to enter Choctaw words or phrases that contain special characters. Having access to the Choctaw keyboard will ensure you can complete these activities successfully.
Apple devices provide native support for the Choctaw keyboard through iOS keyboard settings. Most learners can simply enable the Choctaw keyboard on their devices without downloading an additional application.
Add or Remove the Choctaw keyboard on your iOS device,
Go to Settings > General > Keyboard
Tap Keyboards, then do any of the following:
Add a keyboard: Tap Add New Keyboard, then choose Choctaw from the list.
Remove a Keyboard: Tap Edit, then tap next to the keyboard you want to remove, tap Delete, then tap Done.
Reorder your Keyboard List: Tap Edit, drag next to a keyboard to a new place in the list, then tap Done.
If you prefer, you may also install Gboard as an alternative keyboard option.
For Android devices, we recommend installing Gboard (Google Keyboard) and enabling the Choctaw keyboard through Gboard’s language settings.

Gboard is Google’s free keyboard application for mobile devices. On Android and iOS devices, it can be used to enable and switch to the Choctaw keyboard while completing Rosetta Stone lessons.
Once the Choctaw keyboard has been enabled on your device, you can switch between keyboards using the keyboard selection button, often displayed as a globe or keyboard icon while typing.
Yes, once enabled, the Choctaw keyboard can typically be used in text messages, email, notes, social media, and other applications. This allows you to practice and communicate in Choctaw beyond the Rosetta Stone learning platform.
