McCurtains celebrate 50 years

James and Rita McCurtain of Yukon, Oklahoma, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 2. The couple was married in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, on April 2, 1973.

Both are graduates of the University of Oklahoma and are retired educators from the Oklahoma City area. They enjoy time with family and grandchildren. The couple plans a trip to two Hawaiian islands to celebrate this milestone.

James is the grandson of original Choctaw enrollee Silas Greene McCurtain.
