Jonnie Mae Lowell
Jonnie Mae Lowell, 78, passed away Jan. 31, 2022. Jonnie was born Oct. 1, 1943, in Bakersfield, Calif., to John Gibson and Betty Jean Morris. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Clara Mae Landers; her parents; and son Mark Dixon Evans.
She grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Grant High School. Jonnie went to Cosmetology school, and she received her license. She met and married the love of her life Monty Lowell in 1980. Jonnie owned her own business called Jonnie’s Nail Quarters. She moved to Austin, Texas and began working for the City of Austin’s Municipal Court. Together Monty and Jonnie loved to travel on cruise ships and take day trips in the car. Finding special places to eat together was a favorite past time. They loved to go RV’ing with their friends, James and Sherry Morris. Jonnie was blessed with her family and many friends which she loved.
She is survived by her husband Monty Lowell; her children Craig Davis, Lenora “Norie” Mae Rodriguez, John Yancy Evans; her grandchildren, Raymond, Morgan, Jacob, Taylor, Garrett, Sara; her great grandchildren, Braden, Zoe, Alexa, Olivia, Abilene, John Austin; Her siblings, Donna, Betty Jo and Sheryl.
