Nutrition Services

The Nutrition and Supportive Services Program provides meals, information and referral, transportation and arts and crafts
to Indian Senior Citizens 55 years of age and older. The program provides one meal per week at the local Community Centers throughout the Choctaw Nation. The centers currently in operation are Idabel, Bethel, Hugo, Antlers, Coalgate, McAlester, Wilburton, Stigler, Poteau, Durant, Broken Bow, Atoka, Wright City, Crowder, Spiro, Smithville and Talihina. Talihina provides meals five days a week, and members of federally recognized Indian tribes who are visiting the hospital may have a meal prepared for them by calling 918-567-3916 in advance.

Annual activities include the Annual Senior Citizen Day and honoring of Outstanding Senior Choctaw Male and Female. Program activities include transportation services to tribally sponsored events for eligible participants.
