The overarching goal of Pipeline for Advanced Training in Health Sciences Academy (PATHS) is to increase the number of minority students in southeastern Oklahoma who enter health career pathways. This leads to successful employment in health care professions and results in more minority health professionals in the region, engendering both economic and social prosperity within these minority populations.
Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma has partnered with Kiamichi Technology Centers (KTC) to bring a training program to high school students geared toward a future in the medical field.
This program will prepare students for post-secondary education by introducing them to health careers through health science and biomedical classes. Classes will be held on the campus of KTC in Poteau, McAlester, and Durant.
