Victims Assistance Program
The Choctaw Nation Tribal Victim Assistance Program provided comprehensive Victim Services to Native American victims of crime. The services provided include: emergency food, clothing, shelter, safety plans, goal planning, court room advocacy (support), and other emergency services that will restore the victims’ sense of dignity and self-esteem.
Eligibility:
Crime Victims, which include: (but are not limited to) victims of the following crimes:
Child Trauma
Elder Abuse
Homicide
Gang Violence
DWI Victims of Crime
Other Crimes
Crime Victims that hold a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) from a Federally Recognized Tribe
Crime Victims that reside within the 10 ½ counties of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma
