Corinne (Moore) Rabon

I, Corrine Moore Rabon was born to Lena (McCurtain) Moore and Herbert Moore on April 25, 1904. My mother was born at San Bois, Indian Territory. She was a daughter of Green McCurtain and Kitty (Spring) McCurtain.

I married Otway Rabon, of Kinta, on August 25, 1929. We have two daughters and two sons. Our daughter, Nancy Rabon Lewis is a gynecologist and lives in Pryor, Oklahoma. Our next daughter is Carol Shelton and lives in Barnsdale, Oklahoma, where she owns an antique business. Our oldest son, James, works for Mayes County in Pryor and our youngest son owns the Beker Funeral Home in Lawton, Oklahoma.

I am a graduate of Oklahoma University in Norman, Oklahoma and taught, my last twelve years in Quinton High School. My husband and I live four miles west of Kinta.

My husband is also Choctaw from the Riddle family. He was born on February 12, 1905. I have one living sister, Betty Ward, who lives in Muskogee. My other sister, Inez Von Derau, died in 1983. I had one brother, H.M. Moore, who died in 1986. My husband is a Southern Baptist Minister.
