Susan Leona McClain, daughter of George W. McClain and Laura Belle Boyd, was born at Skullyville on April 17, 1882 and died December 8,

  1. She attended the New Hope School for girls and married Lon Evans who was a merchant and a United States Deputy Marshal. They lived in Millerton, Oklahoma; Bellview, New Mexico; and White Deer, Texas. They had nine children: Baby girl, born May 8, 1901 and died May 18, 1901; Agnes L, Ethel O., Clarence M., Mary S., Hope D., Woodrow A., Baby boy, born and died December 16, 1914, and Juanita Sue.
