Sophia McClain

Sophia McClain, third child of Susan Moncrief and James McClain, was born in Sumter County, Alabama in 1843. Blind from early childhood, she lived her later years with her sister Lila. In 1914 she died and is buried beside her youngest brother, George W. McClain, in the Spiro Cemetery.
