John Franklin Bolling

John Franklin Bolling was born to George F. Bolling and Octavia (Toole) Bolling. He was born March 22, 1872, east of Indianola, Tobusky County, Indian Territory. He married Nancy Isabel Denton on May 1, 1902. They married in Canadian, Tobusky County, Indian Territory. Nancy Isabel (Denton) Bolling was born to John Denton and Johnie Chapin. She was born May 17, 1878, 7 miles south of Wilburton on Denton Creek near Mountain Station, Gaines County, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory. She attended New Hope Academy at Tuskahoma. She was a housewife and raised their seven children. She died November 6 1956. John was a merchant, having stores in Crowder and Canadian but he was primarily a farmer and cattleman on his allotment south and west of Crowder. This is where he died May 28, 1960. Their children were: Frank Alfred Bolling, Louis Lafayett Bolling, Okla Vivian Bolling, born 07-16-1906, Lyndale O’Nita Bolling, born 11-11-1908, Sudie Ruth Bolling, born 10-08-10, Helen Elizabeth Bolling, born 8-28-1912 and Mattie Lucille Bolling, born 8-29-1915.
