John Ray Wallace, 62, of Douglass, Kansas and Copan, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, December 3 in the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mr. Wallace was born August 20, 1938 in Lawton, Oklahoma, the son of John Ray Wallace, Sr. and Maude (Meely) Wallace Cruse. He received his schooling in the Jones Academy in Hartshorne, Oklahoma and graduated from Haskell Junior College, Lawrence, Kansas in 1958.

He and Barbara Falleaf were married on May 12, 1992 in Douglass. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace have made their home in Douglass and Copan since that time.

Mr. Wallace begin his 40-year career with Cessna Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas in 1960 and was tooling welder at the time of his death. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Douglass.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Alvin Bub” and Lori Wallace of Douglass; his mother Maude Cruse of Sulphur Oklahoma; two sisters and brothers-in-law Lavella and Emmett Allison of Blanchard Oklahoma and Donna and Junior Smith of Sulphur; three brothers Frank Cruse and his wife Pam and Jimmy Cruse and his wife Vicky all of Atoka Oklahoma and Carl Cruse of Oklahoma City; two step sons Ed Anna of Arizona and keith Anna of Colorado Springs Colorado; a stepdaughter Tonya Ann of Ohio; four grandchildren and seven step grandchildren.
