Paul Thompson, 89, of Red Oak, Oklahoma passed way at his home.

He was born on May 2, 1905 in Wister, Oklahoma. He was the son of Reuben and Rebecca Rose Thompson.

As a youth he attended Jones Academy in Hartshorne and had worked as a fruit ranch employee in California during the 1940’s. He returned to Latimer County in the early 1950’s and had lived there since.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Snoda Thompson and Nellie Sam Thompson; two sons and two nieces.

Survivors include seven nephews and spouses, Louis and Virginia Sam, Virgil and Bessie Sam and Clifford and Louise Sam all of McAlester, Oklahoma, Cornelius and Norma Sam of Red Oak Oklahoma, Marvin and Mildred Sam of Oklahoma City, Jimmy Sam of Dallas, Texas and Mario Sam of Oklahoma City; a sister-in-law Francis Mackey of Red Oak and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
