James W Thompson was born on October 30, 1922 to Isom and Laura Sissie (McKinney) Thompson in LeQuire, Oklahoma. Beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend passed way on November 3, 1996 in Tulsa Oklahoma.

James married Catherin Wallen on January 28, 1946 in Stigler, Oklahoma. He joined the Air Force in 1942 and served in Word War II until 1945. He then re-enlisted in 1947 and served in the Korean War until 1951.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Turner, Jonas, and Ramsey and one sister, Sophia.

He is survived by wife, Catherine, of Tulsa; three daughters, Diane Brixey and Teresa Wagoner of Tulsa and Brenda Wacoche of Talihina; four sons, Edwin of Talequah, Oklahoma, Jay, Glen and Dennis of Tulsa; tow brothers, Jerry of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Homer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Lena Thompson Wallen of Talihina, Oklahoma and Matilda Thompson Fisher of McAlester, Oklahoma.
