Charles Solomon Taylor, 89, of Heavener, passed away Thursday December 29, 1988 in the Talihina hospital. He was a retired butcher, a charter member of the Church of the Nazarene and a member of the Heavener City Council for eight years.

He is survived by his wife, Roxie; two daughters, Lois Sokolosky of Wilburton, Oklahoma and Tonah Eberhart of Kansas City, Missouri; a son, Harold of Heavener; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Taylor was born November 28, 1899 at Wister, and was a lifetime resident of the area. Rev. David Stevens officiated at services and pallbearers were Charley Wilson, Claud Stanley, Clyde Olive, Ben Curtis, Eddie Olive and Martin Tate.

Worth, Oscar and Lola McCurtain of Talihina, and Junior and Phyllis Sokolosky of Tulsa.

Taylor was an original enrollee of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
