Catherine (Wallen) Thompson passed away August 4, 2004. She was born on April 21, 1927, in Milton, Oklahoma, to Julia Bledsoe Wallen and Isom Wallen. Catherine married James Thompson on January 28, 1946, in Stigler, Oklahoma. They had seven children - three daughters and four sons.

Catherine and James spent their married life in Talihina, McAlester and Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1999, three years after the passing of James, she and son Glen moved back to Talihina where she was reunited with many friends and relatives and made many new friends. Catherine was loved and will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Lena (Thompson) Wallen; sisters, Dora Evelyn Starkey, Ina McCurtain and Laura Tippy Wallen and husband, James.

Survivors include a brother, Guy Wallen of Talihina; four sisters, Norma Wallen, Wilean Swerington, Wilma Smith and Delores Dee Davis, all of Talihina; three daughters, Diana and husband, Tommy Brixey, Teresa Wagoner and husband, Mike Chandler, of Tulsa, and Brenda and husband, Isaac Wacoche of Talihina; four sons, Edwin and wife, Lisa, Glen Thompson of Tahlequah, and Jay and Dennis Thompson of Tulsa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many, many friends.
