Henry Frank Samis, passed away February 14, 1991 at the age of 65. He was born July 8, 1925 at Pickens, Oklahoma to Frank B and Myrtle (Williams) Samis. Samis moved to Tishomingo from Phoenix, Arizona in 1989. He was employed as a contractor with Weyhauser Lumber before his retirement. Samis was married to Mary Jane Wilson June 26, 1941 in Antlers. Survivors include his wife, Mary; mother, Myrtle Samis of Millcreek; four sons, Roy of Phoenix, Buddy of Sherman, Edward of Denison and Dewey of Sherman; seven daughters, Dorothy Morris of Lawton, Linda Deleon of Tishomingo, Rose Samis of Tishomingo, Raynell Serna of Sherman, Betty Samis, Bobbie Samis and Paula Samis, all of Tishomingo; four brothers, George, of Millcreek, John of Sulphur, Wayland of Cache, and Harold of Ft. Worth; three sisters, Dorothy Martinez of Madill, Mary Haney of Millcreek and Azelle Vaugh of Millcreek; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Services were held at Postoak Indian Mission at Indiahoma, Oklahoma on February 18 with Rev. Wilford Nideo officiating.
