Engle R. Southard, 92, of Flint, Texas formerly of Tyler, Texas passed away.

He was born on April 30, 1902 in Bisbee, Arizona and attended Oklahoma State University. He was a member of the Chandler United Methodist Church and a retired postman serving 35 years with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a longtime Smith County resident.

Survivors include his wife Ellen Ellis Southard of Flint; two sons, Engle D. Southard of Charleston, West Virginia and J. Mark Southward of Chicago, Illinois; one step son, George  Buddy Heitman of Tyler; two daughters, Gaye Glaser of Honolulu, Hawaii and Mary Ann Kougl of Bremerton, Washington; three brothers, Jentry Southard of Victorville, California, Charlie Southard of Cleveland, Ohio and Sonny Southard, Oklahoma; seven sisters, Eva Wallace of Norfolk, Virginia, Myra Gievers of Rivera, Arizona, Sylvia Herndon of Clovis, New Mexico, Frankie Piccolo of Oklahoma City, Velda Satterfield of Quinton, Oklahoma, Betty Ruth Bunyard of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Bew Anderson of Belen, New Mexico; nine grandchildren.
