Cynthia Jean Simmons age 39 former Clinton Oklahoma resident passed away August 7, 1997 at Minneapolis, Minnesota after being involved in an automobile-pedestrian accident.

She was born on August 4, 1958 I Altus, Oklahoma the daughter of Irvin J, Simmons and Fay Tekubie.

She lived in the Clinton area as a small child and attended school here before moving to California where she graduated from high school.

She attended Salinas, Minnesota College and had lived in Minnesota for the past 12 years, doing clerical work. Cynthia was full-blood Choctaw and in the process of moving back to Clinton.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Irvin J. Simmons and step-father, Leland Roman.

Survivors include her mother, Fay Tekubie Roman of Big Bear, California, a daughter, Buffy Lorenzo of Acoma, New Mexico; a son, Whirlwind Lorenzo also of Acoma; a sister, Terri F. Gilvin of Big Bear City; four brothers, William Simmons of Seattle Washington, Larson Simmons of San Francisco, California Steven Roman of Naytahwaush, Minnesota, Warrior Roman; a grandson, Ramon Lorenzo of Acoma and Aunt Marie Tekubie of Oakland, California.
