Ruby Grace Vancil Riley

Born: 02/23/1903 Died: 03/31/1991 Maiden Name: Woods Honorific: n/a Ruby Riley, age 88, of Talihina passed away March 31, 1991 at the Baylo Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Daughter of Simon and Nancy Woods, she was born February 23, 1903 in Whitesboro, Indian Territory.

She lived in the Talihina area all her life. Her employment had been with the Public Health Services Hospital in Talihina until her retirement in 1963. She was a member and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church, Talihina Business and Professional Women’s Club, Choctaw Senior Citizens’ Organization and Presbyterian Women’s Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fay W Riley, in 1971 and a son, John G Vancil in 1975.

Survivors include two daughters, Jo Ellen Pearce of Dallas and Claudette Zurn of Ridgecrest, Ca; one son, Paul Vancil of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters, Reba Hoskins and Janevieve Riddle, both of Oklahoma City; 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and numerous friends and loved ones. Interment was at Whitesboro Cemetery at Whitesboro, Oklahoma
