Leona Mae Baker Roberson, 72, passed away December 5, 2000 at her home. She was born April 12, 1928 at Nashoba, Oklahoma to Noel Samuel and Roxie (Loman) Baker.

She attended Goodland, Wheelock and Sequoyah Schools. She worked in Food Service at Kullihoma and McCall’s Chapel.

Leona married Ellis Carnes in 1948. They later divorced. She married Berman Roberson on January 7, 1971 at Antlers, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on August 13, 1998.

Survivors include three sons, S.B. Hone-sa of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Noel Samuel Carnes of Ada, Oklahoma and Darren Roberson of Denison, Texas; seven daughters, Toni Bowers and Belva Roberson of Denison, Mary Hayes of Pryor, Oklahoma, Georgia Jarvis of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lillie Dusenberry and Peggy Henderson, both of Ada, and Phyllis Carnes of Tahlequah; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
