Joe DeWayne “Bubba” Rodgers, 37, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, passed away on October 5, 2003. He was born April 18, 1966, at DeQueen, Arkansas.

A lifetime resident of the Broken Bow area, he was a skidder driver and loved hunting, fishing and horses.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nettie (Whitehead) and William Charles “Willie” Rodgers and Opal (Wilson) and James Edward “Ed” Karr, and an uncle. C.J. “Sonny” Rodgers.

Survivors include his father, Joe Ray Rodgers, and mother and stepfather, Reba (Karr) and Gene Osterdock; children, Joshua DeWayne Rodgers and Maria Dawn Shomo; sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Robert Bean; nieces and nephews, Erica, Randy, Rhiannon and Ethan Bean; stepbrothers and stepsister, Wesley and Anita, Cecil and Marta Osterdock, Tanya and Albert Soliz, Genea and Michael Lott; six nephews and four nieces; aunts and uncles, Louise Hendrix, Harold Wayne Rodgers, George and Billie June Rodgers, Everett Lee “Chucky” and Pat Karr, Jeannie and Jay Norvill, Vicky Hillard, Sandy Gallagher, James Earl and Wanda Smith, Claude and Olivia Smith, Eddie and Dottie Smith, and a host of family and friends.
