Helen LaVerne Hale Randolph passed away June 17, 2005. She was born August 4, 1923, in Rush Springs, Oklahoma, the daughter of Gladys Ivy McAdoo Hale and Olie Webster Hale. She graduated from Rush Springs High School in 1941. She and Arthur Randolph were married November 28, 1940. They had been married 62 years at the time of his death on August 13, 2002. LaVerne was also preceded in death by her mother in 1928; her father on June 15, 1982; and her stepmother, Lillie Hale, on November 17, 1991.

Survivors include her daughter, Loretta Randolph Wright, and her husband, Winfred, of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Olie Junior Hale of Rush Springs, and Archie Hale of Abilene, Kansas; numerous nieces, nephews, and a multitude of longtime friends, most of whom she met during the 55 years in the car business and antique collecting, which was her passion. One of her greatest joys was giving to others with a heart of gold. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Those of us who were blessed by knowing LaVerne will miss her.
