David June Reese, 76, of Durant, Oklahoma, passed away August 30, 2004, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. He was born October 23, 1927, in Durant to Carrie (Fisher) and John Theodore Reese. He was a longtime resident of Durant.

He married Mae Long (Morrow) Reese on June 10, 1960. He loved riding his motorcycle with his dog, Charlie, and fishing. As a chef, he loved to cook for people. He was proud of his Choctaw heritage. He came from a long line of original enrollees, his father, John T. Reese; his grandmother, Mollie (Durant) Reese, and his great-grandfather, Dixon Durant.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorothy Reese.

Survivors include his wife of the home; sons, John Reese of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Joey Reese and wife, Angel, of Perry, Oklahoma; stepson, James Jim Morrow and wife, Debbie, of Edmond, Oklahoma; son, David Reese Belveal of Houston, Texas; sister, Johnnie Lee McLaughlin and husband, Don, of Hemphell, Texas, and Patricia Jennyn of Ft. Worth, Texas; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
