Carrie “Carol” Roberts was born on Friday, April 11, 1919 in Atoka County, Oklahoma to Wilson N and Lutie (Byington) Jacobs. She passed away on Monday, March 27, 1995 in Denison, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Durant and graduated from the Haskell Institution in Lawrenece, Kansas with a degree in commercial Arts and Craft. She was a very talented art worker, she loved to paint and work in her greenhouse raising flowers and cactus. She married Herman Roberts on December 23, 1937 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Ken Roberts in 1984. She is survived by her husband, Herman Roberts of Durant, Oklahoma; one son and daughter in law, David and Dottie Roberts of Madill, Oklahoma; one grandson and wife, Don and Jamie Roberts; one granddaughter and husband Diane and Penty Wheeler; three great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
