Jason Dawayne Porter, 19, of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, December 10, 1995 as a result of an automobile accident.

Jason was born on November 21, 1976 in Tahlequah to Danny G. and Diane (Ranallo) Porter. He was a 1995 Empire High School graduate and a freshman at Cameron University. He was a member of FBLA, Key Club, FFA, Empire Academic Team, CYF, State Football Official Association, President’s Environmental Club and National Honor Society. He was recently listed on the Dean’s Honor Roll. He participated in track and football and had been captain of the wrestling team. Jason served as chaplain for the FFA and was a Eucharistic minister at Assumption Catholic Church, where he was a member for 19 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

His survivors include his parents of Duncan; four brothers, Jesse Porter, Danny DJ Porter, Jr., Robert Porter and Clayton Porter, all f the home; grandparents, Joe and Blanche Ranall of Hartshorne, Oklahoma; step-grandmother, Katherine Porter of Hartshorne; 29 aunt and uncles, 40 cousins and one godchild, Tyler.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Nancy Porter.
