James Robert Pittman, 67, of Bennington passed away July 24, 2008, in Duncan. He was born February 19, 1941, in Talihina to Dallas James and Helen Louise Wesley Pittman.

He attended and graduated high school in Choctaw. He moved to Bryan County and worked as a mechanic. He married Cleta Coulter on December 31, 1972, in Durant and they spent 35 wonderful years together. James enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to flea markets and garage sales. James will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents; sister-in-law; two nephews and a daughter-in-law.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of the home; mother, Helen Pittman of Calera; sister, Barbara Phares of Talihina; sons, Randy Bully of Durant, Jeff Bully and wife Emily of Mapleton, Georgia, and Dallas James Pittman and wife Raelynn of Ratcliff City; daughters, Tracy Ussery and husband Tim of Duncan and Lesia Moore and husband Steve of Chickasha; 21 grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
