Floyd A. Northrip, 51, died on November 15, 1994 at Audie Murphy Veterans Hospital in San Antonio, Texas after undergoing a bone marrow transplant. He battled Hodgkin’s disease for 24 years.

Floyd was born on March 14, 1943 in Miller Oklahoma to Joe Henry Northrip and Mattie Simpty Northrip. He was º Choctaw Indian.

He married Jane Espinoza on December 20, 1969 in Alamosa.

Floyd was enlisted with the United States Air Force where he served from 1961-1965.

Survivors include his wife, Jane of the Antonito, Colorado; mother Mattie Northrip of Moyers, Oklahoma; two sons, Rodney F. Northrip of Antlers Oklahoma and Duwayne Northrip of Macon, Georgia; stepchildren, Wayne Espinoza of Alamosa, Colorado, Frances Gutierrez of Denver Colorado, Lucille Adams of Maco; nine grandchildren, Jane, Rodney, Jr., Amos, Crystal, Tabitha, Mandy, Patrice, Abe and Anthony; also many nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Henry Northrip in 1973 and one brother, John H, Northrip in 1989.
