Imagene Miller Swimmer, 67, of the Caney area and formerly a resident of the Broken Arrow/Tulsa area, passed away August 17, 2007, at the Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas. She was born April 26, 1940, in Caney to Sherman Thomas and Eliza Doshie Wilson Miller.

She graduated from Caney High School and attended Bacone Junior College, Los Angeles City College and Airline Pacific College. She married Charley W. Swimmer on July 25, 1963, at Cudahy, California.

Mrs. Swimmer was a housewife and homemaker. She was a longtime member of the Living Hope Baptist Church in Tulsa. Imagene loved cooking, crafts and reading and attending her grandchildren’s softball games wherever they played.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Joe Dean and Colbert Miller.

Survivors include her husband of the home near Caney; her children, Kimberly Foreman and husband Johnny of Broken Arrow, Alex Swimmer and wife Sheila of Tulsa, Larry Swimmer and wife Carolyn of Tahlequah and Charles Swimmer and wife Nancy of Tulsa; 21 grandchildren, Kenan, Konan, Tashina, Tachikara, Teata, Nashoba, Kitana, Brittany, Jordan, Kanyon, Amber, Jayden, Taloa, Koi, Angelia, Jerad, Matthew, Josh and Jacob Swimmer, Julie Smith and husband Tim and Chris Swimmer Acuf; three great-grandchildren, Aleck Stop, Aubrey Acuff and Kawya Swimmer; brother, Sherman Miller Jr. of Broken Arrow; sisters, Rhoda Anderson and husband Tom of McAlester and Linda Addis and husband Ken of Durant; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and many dear and loved friends
