Frances Joella Mings, 72, of Talihina, Oklahoma was born on January 1, 1923 in Whitesboro, Oklahoma. She passed away on August 18, 1995 at St Edward Medical Center in Ft Smith, Arkansas. She was a member of the Lenox Church of Christ at Lnox, Oklahoma. She has been a residne of the Talihina-Whitesboro area all of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Mings in 1967, a stepson, D.V. Mings in 1978 and a brother, Larry Melton. She was very active in her church work and the Talihina senior citizens group. She is survived by two sons, Larry Mings and Donald Mings, both of Talihina; one step son, Gene Mings of Talihina, Oklahoma; two step daughters, Nowana Fields, of Antlers, Oklahoma and Carol ramsey of Almagorda, New Mexico; four half-brothers, Ben James, Johnny and Willis Melton, all of Talihina; three half sisters, Susie Bohannan and Chistine Melton of Talihina and Shirley Melton of Red Oak, Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren. 21 grat-grandchildren and numberous friends and loved ones.
