Emmett Mombi, 75, of Broken Bow, passed away in Idabel. He was born on September 27, 1919 in Redland.

He was a retired Weyerhaeuser employee, an elder of St. Mathews Presbyterian Church and a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army engineers. He was a member of the Broken Bow VFW and had lived in he community most of his life. He and Hildred Fobb were married March 5, 1977 in Broken Bow.

Survivors include his wife, Hildred Mombi, of Broken Bow; two sons, Carl Ray Hallford and Monte Hallford, both of Broken Bow; two daughters, Wahleah Hallford of Ft Smith, Arkansas and Louise Colbert of Wright City; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
