Harry S. Love Jr., 76, passed away July 11, 2004, in Ada, Oklahoma. He was born August 20, 1927, in Idabel, Oklahoma, to Harry S. and Kate (Kirby) Love, both original enrollees.

He graduated from Idabel High School in 1945 and attended Oklahoma State University where he earned bachelors, masters and doctorate degrees. Dr. Love taught science in public school in Oklahoma and Kansas. He moved to Ada in 1967 and was a biology professor at East Central University until his retirement in 1990.

He served as a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He married Jane (Gernand) Love of Antlers, Oklahoma, in 1952.

His parents and a sister, Elma Watson of Idabel, Oklahoma, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Love; one daughter, Lisa Blankenship and her husband, Dan, of Loveland, Colorado; one son, Steven Love of Norman, Oklahoma, and one grandson, Scott Blankenship of Palo Alto, California.
