Frances Lowery, 63, of Purcell passed away January 14, 2006, at OU Medical Center. She was born September, 27, 1942, in Terrell, Texas, the oldest of five children of Mitchell Hayes and Zora Mae Thrift. She grew up in the Dallas area.

At the age of 18 she married Sydney Kadwell and they had four daughters. Mrs. Lowery worked at various jobs in the Dallas area where she raised her children. After moving to Purcell she worked for Little Stinker Bait Co. On December 12, 1987, she married Roy Lowery in Purcell where they made their home.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Roy Lowery, of Purcell; four daughters, LaVanda Stone and her husband, Patrick, of Ada and Theresa Haynes and her husband, Rocky, Elisha Groom and Michelle Engert and her husband, Mike, all of Purcell; three brothers, Mitchell Hayes and his wife, Evelyn, of Valley View, Texas, Roy Hayes of Killeen, Texas, and Tim Hayes and his wife, Linda, of Gainesville, Texas; one sister, Mary Cornelison of Mesquite, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
