Edward Eugene Johnson, age 41, of Denison, Texas passed away July 24, 1995 at the East Texas Medial Center in Tyler, Teas. He was born October 29, 1953 in Lane, Oklahoma to E.J. and Maria Johnson. He was a lineman for Chapman Construction in Carrollton, Texas.

He married Elizabeth Avery in July 1994 in Denison. He was of the Presbyterian faith. He was a former security guard at Choctaw Nation Bingo. He enjoyed going to the lake and joking with his fiends and was always friendly to everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin Johnson and Jerry LeFlore Johnson of Atoka, Oklahoma; son, Edward Eugene Johnson Jr. of Caney, Oklahoma; three brothers, Kenneth Johnson of Durant, Richard Johnson of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Bobby Johnson of Atoka; four sisters, Cleta Billy of Tushka, Oklahoma, Anita Jones of Atoka, Debbie Crain of Durant and Anna Johnson of Durant; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Services were held at the Atoka Funeral Home Chapel and interment was at Butler Cemetery. Rev. Herb Wharton officiated. E was assisted by Coleman Townsend.
