Ted Roy Hicks, 50, of Frederick, Oklahoma, passed away June 7, 2005, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was born March 27, 1955, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Pearlene Hicks.

He attended Frederick Public Schools. He was active in the Frederick Little League and an adult softball and baseball team, where he served as a head coach for the Warriors. He was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church, where he served as trustee for 15 years. He was very good with arts and crafts. He was noted for telling his Indian stories and enjoyed singing Choctaw hymns. He went to be with his favorite cousin, Leon J. Hicks.

He was preceded in death by his mom in 1992 and his grandparents, Jefferson and Lorancie Hicks.

Survivors include sons, Jeff Hicks and wife, Linda, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Jeremy Hicks of Mena, Arkansas, and Wesley Hicks of Buena Vista, Georgia; brother, Alden Osborn of Childress, Texas; and three sisters, Debra Osborn and Sharon Ochoa, both of Altus, Oklahoma, and Alicia Osborn of Wewoka, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Jacob, Gaven, Malkine and Ashton Hicks and Jalen Wesley; three aunts, Ann Fobb, Vera Hudson and Rosie Hicks, all of Frederick; uncle, Eddie Hicks of Frederick, and numerous cousins.
