Keith Harjo, 22, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma died Sunday, December 31 in Broken Bow. He was born September 6, 1973 in Talihina.

A member of Myrtlewood Baptist Church in Broken Bow, Harjo worked in medical records at the Indian Clinic in Broken Bow. He had lived in the community all his lie.

He was a well-known athlete when he attended Broken Bow High School.

As a sophomore, he was a member of the Savage football team that won a state championship and was on teams that won three district championships. His senior year he was named to the all-district teams. The Broken Bow head football coach, Rich Jones, said Harjo being named to the all-district team was well deserved because of his great work habits and attitude.

Survivors include his father, Wilbert Harjo of Oklahoma City; his mother and stepfather, Patsy (Harjo) Pilant and Michael Pilant; two brothers, Michael Pilant and Steven Pilant, both of Broken Bow; four sisters, Renita Harjo, Mellissa Harjo, Renee Harjo and Stephanie Pilant, all of Broken Bow; his paternal grandmother, Ella Harjo of Sasakawa; his maternal grandmother Louise Ishcomer of broken Bow; one nephew, Sabastian Cowen of Broken Bow; and several aunts and uncles.
