Graveside services for Jack Walton Hopkins, 68, of Valliant, Oklahoma were held Friday, March 22, 1991. He died March 20 following a sudden heart attach. He was born January 13, 1923 in Oklahoma City. He had lived in the Valliant area for 20 years. He was a retired farmer and rancher and a member of the Idabel Main Street Church of Christ.

He was a descendant of Robert Freeny and Sarah Ellis Freeny, Choctaws who settled in Southeastern Oklahoma in 1832, following removal from Mississippi.

He is survived by his wife; Nadine Hopkins, of the home; one son, Stephen Hopkins, of Garden city, Kansas; one daughter, Gena Hopkins Fowler of Valliant; one brother, Freeny Hopkins of Goldsby; two sisters, Ruth Finley of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Holly Savage of Anadarko, Oklahoma and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents .E. Hopkins and Edna Freeny Hopkins.
