Homer G. Homer passed away on July 21, 2000 at Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Canter. Born in Durant, Oklahoma, Mr. Homer had lived in Riverside, California for 48 years.

He worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs for 40 years. He also worked for Sherman Indian High School for 38 years before retiring in 1980.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II when he became disabled.

Survivors include five daughters, Fannae Sheilds of Dallas, Texas, Mary Ahtone of Ada, Oklahoma, Janet Tudor of Victoria, Texas, LaVonne Taylor of Victorville, California and Barbara Reinhardt of Westlake Village, California; a son, Homer G., Jr. of Schaumberg, Illinois; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
